Research facilities of the Faculty of Chemistry are located in laboratories of the research groups and in the Instrumental Analysis Laboratory.
The following instruments are available: multinuclear NMR spectrometer Varian Gemini 200, solid state NMR Bruker 300 MHz and Varian 60 MHz 1H NMR; Finnigan-Mat GC-MS, GC-PTI mass spectrometer, absorption spectrophotometers for UV, visible and FT-IR range, X-ray spectrometer and diffractometer, atomic emission-absorption spectrophotometers, transmission electron microscope, scanning calorimeter, Calve's microcalorimeter, apparatus for differential and gravimetric thermal analysis, automatic polarimeter, autoannular still, analytical and preparative gas and liquid chromatographs, GC-PTI, HPLC, micro-HPLC, gel permation chromatography for measurement of molecular weights and polydispersity of polymers, capillary isotachophoresis; electrophoresis; facilities for special techniques of sample preparation: extraction: SPE, SMPE, micro, microwave and extraction by super critical fluids, micropore analyser ASAP 2110 MicroPore-System; irradiation device RChM-gamma-20 (60Co), universal tensile testing instrument - Instron, apparatus for determination of total organic carbon (TOC) in water and industrial wastes, Gas-Liquid Porometer (Culter), electrodialysis laboratory plant TS 001, diffusion dialyser (Eurodial Int.), laboratory pervaporation unit (Deutsche Carbone AG GFT).
