Grants
Students may apply for the following kinds of financial aids:
Social grants and occasional financial aid are granted by the Dean based on student applications, submitted to the Dean's Office for Students Affairs before beginning of the academic year, and following guidelines set down by the student-elected Student Self-government. Application deadlines are posted on the notice board. Social grants are granted for each year separately. First-year students can apply for social grants upon successfully completing the second semester. Grant sums are dependent on the student's financial situation (income per capita in the family, confirmed by appropriate Internal Revenue Office forms) and available resources.
Scientific grants are granted for a period of 10 months to students with the best scores in the previous year of studies (mean of 4.0 and more). Students are eligible for this grant after completing the first year of study. The actual amount depends on the mean score.
Special grants are granted to outstanding students by the Ministry of National Education following the Dean's suggestion.
Apart from the grants system, students may apply for bank loans to help finance their studies.
